and Overseas over the last 5 years. Outlined below are brief summaries
of a few of the most interesting projects we have undertaken in the areas
of Infrastructure, Connectivity

Infrastructure Projects

IA was engaged as part of a team of technical specialists to compile
a set of infrastructure specifications for wired and wireless infrastructure
within buildings and precincts in the Melbourne Docklands. This
project involved research into world best practice, review of existing
Australian standards, and development of new protocols and standards
based on the evolving Telecommunications market.

Digital Building
Telecommunications Access Guidelines
IA was involved in the planning, development and drafting of the
Digital Building Telecommunications Access Guidelines(DBTAG) for
the Digital River Project and the City of Melbourne. The Code is
available as a PDF download via www.digitalriver.net

Aggregated
Demand for IT&C - Business Modeling
IA is currently working on two major IT&C strategic planning
projects for the private sector. These involve market research into
IT&C services demand via a municipal and/or building tenant
portfolios.

IA was engaged to research into ITS used within the the public
transport system of a state of Australia. The study assessed developments
in CCTV, Ticketing, Smartcards, Broadband, and Radio Communications/Wireless.
This project involved research into world best practice, a review
of existing Australian standards, and assessment of new protocols
and standards based in the rapidly evolving ITS market. The result
was Terms of Reference for a Masterplan for ITS across the State. |

IA worked for the Victorian Superannuation Board for 6 months in
1998. This role involved a major evaluation of IT architecture,
Electronic Data Exchange possibilities and E-Commerce strategies
for the Board. |

Connectivity Projects

437 St. Kilda Rd Melbourne
IA worked with the developers, the Ridge Corporation, on planning
the refurbishment of this prominent commercial building. This included
specification of wired and wirless infrastructure and the engagement
of leading edge vendors and service providers. This was the first
building in St. Kilda Road to be compliant with the DBTAG (Digital
Building Technology Access Code).

Central West Development
Adelaide
IA held a Digital Property Workshop with Cavesham Properties to
plan and specify the technology and communications infrastructure
for a new premium grade commercial building in the CBD of Adelaide.
We also worked closely with the leasing agents to develop a compelling
marketing position for potential building tenants.

Public
Access Wireless
IA was involved in the planning, development and drafting of guidelines
and policy regarding public access wireless within municipal areas.
Issues such as interference, health risks and wholesale business
modeling were explored.

IA was engaged to plan and develop Melbourne Docklands iPort. iPort
is a vision to make Melbourne Docklands a high-tech hub which connects
Victoria to the rest of Australia and the world at a high bandwidth.
The project involves specifying and outlining appropriate high bandwidth
infrastructure (both wired and wireless) and identifying opportunities
for IT hungry industries to locate their services in the Melbourne
Docklands. |

The City of Melbourne, Committee for Melbourne, Melbourne Docklands,
Building Control Commission and the Property Council of Australia
have formed a working group to explore opportunities for bandwidth
connectivity in Melbourne. IA through its role at the Melbourne
Docklands has been an active member of this group and a number of
initiatives are being pursued in the areas of supply and demand
of bandwidth to Melbourne. The aim of this group is to look at ways
to facilitate high bandwidth at low cost to the whole of Melbourne.

IA worked with the Danish Cultural Ministry via the Australian
Embassy in Copenhagen to develop a web presence and strategy to
market Danish Culture into Australia. The online portal included
extensive audio and a search engine function and was developed in
1996. Early days of the Internet !

Content Projects

Cleanskins.com is a 24 hour shop for purchasing unlabelled wine
to consumers all over Australia.
We conceptualised and developed this project from initiation to
the present day, and we continue to maintain and expand the website
and the business model for Cleanskinsdotcom Pty Ltd.

IA was asked to build on online community and communications infrastructure
to facilitate the development of a Bio-Technology Industry in Victoria.
A low cost Open Source Content Management System was built and integrated
with a communications infrastructure. The site is now self managed
by the BioMelbourne Network.

IA worked closely with Robert Brown and Co. Accountants to develop
a fully integrated on-line taxation product for the PAYE market
in Australia. This application allows for individuals to submit
their tax returns 100% on-line and has been under development since
late 1999. IA's role was to recommend appropriate technologies,
develop usability protocols, project manage design and construction
of the site and also to advise an appropriate E-Commerce and marketing
strategy for the company. |

IA was engaged to develop a psychological profiling tool and website
for ITSA. This project involved formulating the architecture and
infrastructure for a complex, database driven website. The site
allows for students to undertake IQ tests with audio enhancement
via the online medium through low-end computer configurations from
the home or at school. |

IA was appointed as the Internet Architect for the Melbourne Docklands
portal development in January 2000. A new website went online in
March 2000. |

IA was engaged to design and deliver an E-Commerce course at postgraduate
level to Monash MT Eliza MBA in Melbourne, Australia. A class of
over 50 students was given a series of 13 lectures which addressed
a broad cross section of E-Commerce issues in the marketplace. The
course was delivered with a practical and industry based focus and
a number of guest lecturers were incorporated to give short presentations
on specialist areas of E-Commerce, including advertising, security,
encryption, strategy, banking, e-governance, and legal issues. |

IA developed an operational and IT Architecture plan with the client
over 6 months. Emedical is now run and updated by a small in-house
team and the site includes flash animation, database driven content
and a chat facility. IA also outlined a marketing/PR plan to assist
the client to develop a sustainable competitive advantage in the
online health services market.

IA was appointed to develop an E-Commerce Plan for the Victorian
College of the Arts in June 1999. In three months a new website
was designed and constructed, an operations manual written and an
Electronic Service Delivery Strategy developed. The site is now
online and 100% internally maintained and managed.
