- The Guidelines were drafted over an 18 month period via consultation
with over 200 organisations and individuals
- Developers within the Melbourne Docklands were involved in the
practical implemention within the Guidelines within the development
- The Digital River Group (www.digitalriver.net)
was established to explore opportunities for bandwidth connectivity
in Melbourne
outcomes
- The Guideline was released in August 2002 and has been endorsed
by the City of Melbourne and the State Government of Victoria.
- Internet Architecture has applied the principles of the Guideline
to over 12 developments nationally.
- The Guideline is now considered as National best practice.
